If I'm also trying out for Quadrant Hockey do I need to Register at Springbank?

• Players who are trying out for the Elite Stream (Quadrant/NWCAA) are required to register with Springbank Hockey (Community) as well.

• This is important as these age groups are subject to capping by our Association due to player/goalie spots availability. It is wise to have your Elite player’s spot held for them.

• Springbank understands you are required to pay upfront for your Elite stream tryout and will collect your Springbank fees if you return to community.

• When registering please indicate yes to the question “NWCAA tryouts: “yes-” means your fees will be held until you return, but you must register prior to Fee increases (refer to fee table on our website) as you will have to pay the increase difference and that fee is NON-refundable

What is the Springbank privacy policy?

Springbank Minor Hockey Association (SMHA) is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of our Member Partners, their Associations, individual members, their families and our employees. The information collected during registration is used to enroll the individual in the applicable program and may be used to provide members with the information necessary for administration of the program. As well, it is used to administer the rules, regulations and by-laws of SMHA and/or it’s affiliations, including Hockey Calgary, Hockey Alberta, and Hockey Canada.

SMHA will share the name, address and contact information provided with the registration process with the Springbank Park For All Seasons (SPFAS). SPFAS will respect and retain the confidentiality of this information by using it for very limited purposes, as well as by not distributing it to other parties.

SPFAS will only utilize this information to:

Substantiate & reconcile participant and registration numbers to the annual collection of the Facility Access Fee.
Record registrants as SPFAS members (which is particularly valuable for applying for grant and other funding, as well as for complying with SPFAS bylaws)
Retain an email data base that will be used infrequently to send messages pertaining to SPFAS activities and events (i.e. Fall Fair activity updates, emergency and/or weather related facility closures, information pertaining to new special events to be held at SPFAS, etc.).

By registering with SMHA, you are agreeing to SMHA sharing your information with SPFAS solely for the purposes outlined above.

Why can't I register my 4 year old for hockey? He skates better than some 5 year olds.

SMHA follows Hockey Calgary policy. We encourage 4-year-old players to sign up for other private sessions
